My name is Page Vernon and I am running for District Court Judge in North Carolina District 15B, serving Chatham and Orange Counties.
I’ve lived and worked in this community for 26 years. I began my legal experience in 1981 as a prosecutor in Orange and Chatham counties and have since worked as a defense attorney, civil trial lawyer, advocate for children and abused women, writer of legal procedure manuals, and teacher and legal advisor to law students.
I have a strong commitment to social justice and public service. I’ve been an active volunteer in our schools, I serve on the boards of many community non-profit programs primarily benefiting women and children and I’m a volunteer mentor and Guardian ad Litem advocate for needy children in our community.
My varied legal experience has given me a unique understanding of our District Courts and instilled in me a belief that I can make a positive impact on our community as a District Court Judge. If given the opportunity to serve as District Court Judge I will work hard to be fair, patient and respectful to everyone involved with our court system and to contribute to and improve our community in positive and meaningful ways.
